FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

IS CROSSFIT FOR ME?

Yes! CrossFit is designed for individuals of all fitness levels. Our coaches will provide guidance and modify workouts to suit your current abilities. CrossFit is scalable, meaning the intensity and complexity of workouts can be adjusted to match your fitness level.

I HAVE A PRE-EXISTING INJURY OR HEALTH CONDITION. CAN I STILL PARTICIPATE IN CROSSFIT?

It depends on the nature of your injury or condition. We recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before starting CrossFit. Our coaches can then tailor workouts to accommodate your specific needs.

I'M NOT INTERESTED IN COMPETITIVE FITNESS. IS CROSSFIT STILL A GOOD FIT FOR ME?

Yes, definitely! While CrossFit has a competitive aspect, the primary focus is on personal improvement and overall fitness. You can choose the level of intensity that aligns with your goals.

WHAT IF I CAN'T DO CERTAIN EXERCISES OR MOVEMENTS?

No worries at all! CrossFit workouts can be adapted to accommodate different abilities and restrictions. Our coaches will provide alternative movements to ensure a challenging yet safe workout for everyone.

I'M BRAND NEW TO CROSSFIT, ARE THERE SPECIFIC SESSIONS FOR BEGINNERS?

Absolutely. We offer four Onboarding sessions that can be purchased along with your first payment. During these sessions, our coaches will take you through a structured curriculum to ensure that you learn the basic fundamentals of movement and what CrossFit entails. Check out our memberships for more information on rates.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED FOR CROSSFIT?

While we provide most of the equipment, it's recommended to have a pair of comfortable workout shoes, a water bottle, and appropriate workout attire. As you progress in your fitness journey, you'll end up picking up a few things like knee sleeves, your own jump rope, and maybe your own weightlifting belt.

HOW CAN I TRACK MY PROGRESS?

Tracking progress is an important part of the journey to see where you started and how far you've come. We post all of our affiliate programming through the SugarWOD app. You'll be able to see the workout beforehand and log your results as the workout is complete. These results are for you to track your own personal progress, as well as view others progress as well.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR A MEMBERSHIP?

You can sign up for a membership through our Zen Planner Member Connect Portal (link below). If it's your first time, try out a class for free to see if it's your thing. If you're coming back from some time off, you can log into your account and choose the membership option that it appropriate for you.

CAN I PUT MY MEMBERSHIP ON A FREEZE?

Memberships can be put on freeze for up to 90-days. Please email us at info@crossfitkakou.com letting us know the exact dates you'd like to freeze your account for. This freeze will put all your future bills on hold and push your bill dates so that you don't miss a day! Freezing an account will not allow you to reserve your spot in classes until the account has returned back to active status.

DO I NEED TO RESERVE MY SPOT IN EACH CLASS?

All classes you attend must be reserved for. This helps our coaches know ahead of time how many will be participating in class. We have a cap of 20 athletes to a class due to limited space and equipment. Classes can be reserved through the Zen Planner Member App on your mobile device, or through a web browser in your Zen Planner Member Connect Portal.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELATION POLICY?

If you are deciding that you need to cancel your membership, while there are a few exceptions, we ask that you please provide us with at least a 30-day notice. You can inform us in-person or you can send us an email notifying us of your cancelation at info@crossfitkakou.com with your name, reason for canceling, and when you would like your membership canceled.

HOW CAN I UPDATE MY BILLING INFORMATION?

Your billing information can all be managed through the Zen Planner Member App on your mobile device, or through the Zen Planner Member Connect Portal. You may keep as many payment methods on your account as you please for different purchases (membership, retail, etc.
