NATALIE ALLEN-WRIGGLE!






HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING CROSSFIT?

Two years but the first year didn't really count as I only made it in once or twice a week.  


WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO COME TO CROSSFIT? WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS?

What motivates me are the coaches, the constant variety of strength training and building endurance, and the community! 


My goals are to continuously challenge myself and strive to improve which means listening to the coaches. My new goals after the Open are to get those Double Unders dialed down and to get some CTB pull ups this year.


WHAT DOES CROSSFIT MEAN TO YOU?

CrossFit has provided me with a new love for building physical and mental strength which I am also able to apply it to other areas in my life. It also means community which has had a profound impact on my mental health.


WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE MOVEMENTS IN CROSSFIT?

Toes to bar (even though I can only do singles), Deadlifts and I do actually like burpees!

HOW HAS CROSSFIT AFFECTED YOUR LIFE OUTSIDE OF THE GYM?

I am a lot more confident in myself and my overall attitude towards everything is a lot more positive. This affects everything from making new friends, to seeing improvements in cycling and surfing! 

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE A NEWBIE JOINING CROSSFIT KAKOU?  

To remember that you are not in competition with anyone other than yourself, and that it will take time and commitment which will then suck you in to keep on coming back for more. Oh, and you are never too old to start!
